Is Spectrum Internet a Good Internet Service Provider?

I recently changed my internet service, and it isn’t as fun as one would think it is, at least not for me. There was a lot of extensive research that I had to put in, only so that I could decide which internet service was the best for me.

I had the option of choosing between cable, fiber, and satellite internet, and in the end, I settled for fiber internet since it was the fastest and the most reliable among all the options. However, now the question was which Internet Service Provider (ISP) I should choose for myself.

That is where I decided that I should get Spectrum Internet for myself. Now why is that so? There were a lot of factors that influenced my decision, and you could say that it was a thoroughly calculated risk. Below, I have highlighted some points on why I decided to go for Spectrum internet connection:

Brilliant Internet Speed

The first thing that had me down for Spectrum Internet was the speed that it offered. I needed a fast internet connection because I game online quite often and that requires an internet connection with as minimal latency as possible.

When I learned that Spectrum Internet speed goes up to 1,000Mbps for downloads, I was sold. Most of my games are digital titles and are hefty files, such as Red Dead Redemption 2 which is a little over 100GB. Therefore, it was essential for me to get a superfast internet connection. Ever since getting Spectrum, I have been very satisfied with the internet speeds!

Fiber Internet Supremacy: Better than Cable

While cable internet is more commonly available than a fiber internet connection, the latter still holds supremacy over a cable internet connection. That is because fiber internet has a better transmission infrastructure than cable internet.

Fiber optic cables have shards of glass inside that make use of light impulses that transport your internet from your internet service provider to your home. This ensures that there is little to no data loss and you can retain your download and upload speeds.

On the other hand, cable internet makes use of copper cables, which are vulnerable to disruptions from electromagnetic waves. If there is a magnetic field around the cables, it is very likely that your internet connection will be affected, making things frustrating for you.

Zero Data Caps

Usually, when I use the internet at home, I tend to go overboard. I don’t realize how much internet data I consume and that gets the best of me! Lucky for me, opting for Spectrum was the best decision that I could take for myself.

Spectrum comes without a data cap, making it the perfect choice for my gaming since it includes a lot of downloading and streaming. Not only that, I also love watching movies and listening to music whenever I am free, which again makes Spectrum the best choice for me.

The Option to Bundle Services

Honestly, who doesn’t like the option of getting multiple services at a reduced cost? This is one of the many reasons why I chose to get Spectrum.

When I was browsing Spectrum plans, I saw that I also had the option to throw in a TV service as well, that too at a reduced cost. I thought to myself, “Why not?” and just went ahead with it.

This way, I have the time of my life when I want to enjoy football games with my friends because all of us are pretty hardcore NFL fans. I don’t have to head to the internet to stream, all I have to do is turn on my TV, and the rest is sorted!

Amazing Customer Service

Even though it is pretty rare that I have had issues with my Spectrum internet connection, yet whenever I do, I don’t hesitate to reach out to the customer service. Every time, they have been as accommodating as they could possibly be. They have always listened to my issue all the way through and have assured me that they will fix my problem as soon as possible.

Even when I have questions from them, I always ask them and they give me prompt responses. I remember when I had to ask about an internet upgrade, they told me everything that I needed to know and then I upgraded my internet service to the 1Gbps plan.

Just a pro tip, if you are a gamer too then you should definitely get the 1Gbps plan, your online gaming will never be the same and it will be as smooth as butter!
